Dr. Julia Beverley
I grew up in Freeport, Illinois and have always felt a calling toward animals and veterinary medicine. At a young age I would routinely bring home any dog or cat that I found wandering the neighborhood. As soon as I was old enough, I spent my weekends volunteering at the local animal shelter where I would try to bring home as many pets as I could!
My desire to learn more and help animals has never wavered; In my undergraduate studies at University of Miami I took as many biology and animal science courses as possible. I continued on the path of becoming a veterinarian and graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012.
I started my veterinary career in emergency practice where I gained valuable skills and hands-on experience. However, even after two years, I never got used to working overnights. Since then I have worked in both private as well as corporate practices in the San Antonio and New Braunfels area. Previously, I have only offered in home euthanasia to my long-time clients and have always found it to be so much more rewarding and peaceful.
Following a recent trip to visit a fellow colleague who provides this service daily, I decided that this is a needed assistance I wanted to offer to all pets and their families in their time of need, not just my long standing clients.
My goal is to provide a peaceful, stress free, and compassionate goodbye for pets and their loving owners. I want your pet’s last moments to be where they feel at home, surrounded by the ones that love them most…home is where the heart is.
Dr. Emily Howard
Howdy! I was born and raised right here in San Antonio, Texas. I attended Texas A&M University where I completed my B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries in 2015, my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2021, and a Large Animal Medicine internship in 2022. For the past two years, I have been honored to serve my hometown community by providing end-of-life care services to pets in the comfort of their own homes.
I remember when my family lost our dog Annie. I was visiting home from college when my brother woke me up in the middle of the night to say Annie was suffering and it was time to put her to sleep. I was in complete shock and not ready to say goodbye to my best friend of 16 years. I loved Annie with my whole heart but couldn’t face seeing her be put down. My brother took Annie to an emergency hospital where she passed away confused, in an unfamiliar place without me. I will forever regret not being there for Annie when she needed me the most. I wish I could have given her one last “good day” filled with her favorites: peanut butter treats, sticks to chew on, a sunny walk, and time to tell her thank you for the beautiful companionship she gave me. If there had been an option to hold her in my arms while she passed away at home surrounded by her loving family, I know that is what she would have wanted and what she deserved.

Robin
Robin is from the small town of River Falls, Wisconsin. She is the lead Support Manager for Dr. Julia Beverley. Growing up with numerous pets sparked her interest in animal care, leading to a career as a Veterinary Technician. After several years working in a private clinic, Robin discovered her passion for end-of-life care while doing home visits with the practice owner. She found providing support to families during such a challenging time incredibly rewarding, and nearly eight years later, she is grateful to be able to continue helping so many families through that journey.
Robin’s compassionate heart, exceptional organizational skills, and deep experience in the field make her an invaluable member of our team.
Outside of work, Robin enjoys spending time with her family, visiting her son at the University of Madison in WI, and chasing after her energetic 4-year-old grandson.
