I contacted Dr. Beverley regarding my dog Owen yesterday morning, Friday 8/28. Within the hour, I had the kindest, most calming woman (I wish I remembered her name) calling me to go over my online inquiry about euthanasia and cremation for my sweet old man. She was incredible, answered my questions, and I was immediately put at ease. Within a few hours, Dr. Beverley was at my home. We got to give my boy the most beautiful and peaceful goodbye one could ever dream up. As I’ve started to tell people that we put our Owen to sleep, I feel so compelled to tell them, “-but it was so beautiful and so peaceful”. It sounds so strange, and even feels strange, to verbally describe this devastating loss to my soul as “beautiful”, but Dr. Beverley truly made it so. She must be an angel who came straight from the sky before she came to my home. She was perfect. She was calm, caring, and even did such a wonderful job of explaining things so my children would understand and be at peace. She just always knew the perfect words to say- to us and to Owen. We all just sat and laid on my bedroom floor with our old man, crying and even laughing and sharing stories of him and his personality. I have been on the very traumatic side of pet loss- where there’s emergency scenarios, devastating pain, and laying on a cold hard floor of a vet’s office or emergency clinic, giving a goodbye I was not prepared for. It was so important to me to recognize the window of opportunity we had to give Owen a peaceful and dignified goodbye before we got to that point. Dr. Beverley made this possible. As long as it’s in my control, this will be the only means of goodbye I will say to my fur family going forward. This was not only a gift to Owen after a long, loving life, but this uniquely special goodbye was a gift to my entire family. I’m so incredibly thankful for Dr. Beverley, her team, and for this beautiful and compassionate service they offer our community.

The office person who initially took our call was very caring and compassionate. They asked the necessary tough questions to prep for Dr Beverley's arrival. Dr Beverley arrived that day as scheduled. She very kind, understanding and compassionate. Our 13 year old gentle giant, Heidi, was dying and in pain. She was in distress. The presence of Dr. Beverley kneeling next to her, talking softly to her and petting her put her at ease. Heidi, then, sniffed the container of medication the doctor brought then lowered her great head down as if knowing she would be relieved and at peace soon. Doctor asked first if we had any questions. She proceeded to sedated Heidi and she finally relaxed. Dr Beverley was in no rush and waited while we reminisced and said our tearful goodbyes to our beautiful girl and companion. When ready, she then gently administered the final medicine and it was over. She stayed with us shortly after offering her condolences and noting support groups we could look into if needed. We kept Heidi and buried her in the back yard with the help of our neighbors. She is under a shade tree where we can look out and see her grave. She is out near where the chickens and geese are to watch over them, as she always has, and us from heaven. We couldn't have asked for a better service than Dr Beverley's and this heart wrenching time. Thank you Dr. Beverley.

There was great care and kindness shown us. The process was unhurried, considerate and loving. It was a comfort to see our precious dog Eva treated so gently. I cannot imagine the procedure being done any better than by Dr. Beverley.

We recently had to make the incredibly difficult decision to say goodbye to our dog after 13 years with our family. It was one of the hardest days we’ve had, and we are extremely grateful for the compassion, patience, and kindness shown to us during such an emotional time. Our veterinarian treated our dog with dignity and genuine care throughout the entire process. They took the time to explain everything, never made us feel rushed, and gave us the space we needed to say goodbye. The kindness they showed not only to our dog, but to our family, meant more to us than I can put into words. After 13 years, our dog wasn’t simply a pet—he was part of our family, and saying goodbye was heartbreaking. Having someone there who understood that and treated those final moments with such compassion made an incredibly painful experience a little easier to bear. Thank you for taking such good care of him and for helping our family through one of the most difficult moments we’ve faced. We will always be grateful. Thank you Dr. Beverley!

Dr. Beverley arrived and was greeted by our dog Ollie. She bent down to his level and spoke to him and gently petted him. Ollie slowly went into his bed in the living room where she knelt next to him on the floor. She spent about 30 minutes explaining to my husband and me the complete procedure while petting our dog constantly. We told her that we were ready for the procedure and the doctor gave Ollie his first shot. Ollie was so relaxed then. Then she gave him his final shot and kept checking his vitals and finally gave the signal that he passed. Ollie was placed on a stretcher and covered with a nice clean blanket. Dr. Beverley never rushed us to start the process. She wanted us to take as much time as we needed to say goodbye to our beloved pet. Would we use Dr. Beverley again on another pet? Answer is absolutely! Ollie was always stressed out every time we took him to a regular vet and would shake his whole body as he was afraid in that office. He was happy to be in his own home.

This is one of the hardest decisions we have ever made, but after 18 years with our border collie, it was time to let her go. We met Dr. Beverley one day a few years ago when she was "subbing" at the vet we used. We loved her immediately and called the vet back to change over to her but she was not there full or part time. When looking for a place that did at-home euthanasia, we found her website and were so happy to find her. The whole experience was kind of surreal. She came in and was so sweet and gentle with our girl. She sat with my husband and I and stepped us through the process. She was so patient and kind. She was understanding and so thoughtful. We could not have asked for a more perfect vet (or person, really) to help us all through this. We will always be so grateful to her.

This is a service you hope you never have to use. I am so grateful that I found Dr Beverley online. We were able to make an appointment the next day. What could have turned into an extensive wait with a very sick cat turned into a quiet morning saying our goodbyes in our home. Dr. Beverley understood how fragile we were in the situation and offered peace and comfort while we made the hardest choice to choose our Mouse over ourselves. Forever thankful her last moments were at home and not in transport to the vet.

Testimonials

Dr. Beverley helped me send my Dexter boy over the rainbow bridge a few weeks ago. Having her come to my home allowed him to not be scared or alone. I never felt rushed and was given all the time I needed before and after. I did opt for the private cremation and just received my boy back this weekend. Everything was beautiful and showed just how much Dr. Beverley and her team care about the service they are providing. Hopefuly I don't have to do this again, but If I am in the San Antonio area I would use her services again without question.
